BLOODSTAIN PATTERN DOCUMENTATION

In responding to scenes where blood has been shed, it is essential to ensure that bloodstain evidence is preserved and documented in context with other evidence in the scene.  This 20 hr course covers how to correctly recognize, document and collect bloodstains and bloodstain patterns for later analysis by a bloodstain pattern analyst.

 

SHOOTING INCIDENT DOCUMENTATION

This 20 hr course teaches the student how to properly document firearms-related physical evidence and the scene through notetaking, diagramming, measurements and photography.   Trajectory documentation through the use of rods, lasers, strings, protractors and mathematics is included.

ADVANCED CRIME SCENE DOCUMENTATION

Bloodstain and Shooting Evidence Documentation Combo-Course

A (40 hour) course designed and presented by veteran investigators for crime scene investigators, crime scene technicians, and others involved in crime scene investigation.  Investigators learn and practice accepted methodologies for identifying and documenting discreet bloodstain patterns and shooting related evidence.
